Operations Director, Nord-Lock

We are now looking for an Operations Director who will continue the exciting journey of our Nord-Lock production site in Mattmar. This position reports to the Vice President, Head of Business Unit (BU) Nord-Lock and is based in Mattmar – beautifully located between Åre and Östersund.

The role as Operations Director
The Operations Director oversees and manages all activities associated with the local production site. We are strong believers of growth and this position is responsible for efficient and effective execution of site activities relating to the manufacturing of company products and is a central part of establishing goals and objectives. The Operations Director is responsible for leading the site personnel to a level of performance identifiable with World Class organizations, utilizing lean production and continuous improvement techniques. The position is part of the BU Nord-Lock Management team and works closely with leaders from across the Nord-Lock Group to reach goals and objectives.

Your key tasks and responsibilities
Participate in formulating and administering both site-specific and corporate policies, as well as developing long-range goals and objectives. This includes the direction, focus, and visualization of activities to further the overall progressive goals and objectives.

  • Overall responsible for the local manufacturing activities alongside the existing management team to ensure maximum effectiveness is obtained for producing quality products within the specified time and budgetary guidelines.
  • Accountable to ensure products meet or exceed customer quality standards and required delivery schedules are met. Support formulation of processes to enable and keep ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Oversee local procurement activities and support the negotiations of major contracts to provide proper cost, delivery, quality, financial and legal commitments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, plans and practices regarding product supply/demand and delivery globally.

Who you are

  • You have 10+ years of experience managing multiple teams and we prefer if you also have 10+ years of experience in a global manufacturing leadership position.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline. An MBA is meriting, but not a requirement.

Your professional ethics are high, and you also have good judgement, and ability to take decisive action. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are superb, and you have great interpersonal ability.
